Services celebrating the life of Ernest P. Rachal, Jr. will be a 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 26, 2012 at St. James Memorial Catholic Church, with Father Remigius Owuamanam, officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 A.M.. until time of services. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery under the direction of Gonzaque-Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Ernest P. Rachal, Jr., age 70 of Alexandria died Sunday, November 18, 2012 at his residence.

He was a member of St. James Memorial Catholic Church where he was an usher and a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Council 91. He was a graduate of Grambling State University and received his masters degree from Northwestern State University. He taught for 32 years in the Rapides Parish School System and ended his career as Assistant Principal at Acadian 6th Grade Center. For the last 10 years, he worked for the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office. He was an all around outdoorsman with a great love of hunting, fishing, boating and being with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his father; Ernest Rachal, Sr., mother Susie Rachal; son, Kyle Rachal and Aunt; Theresa Moody.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Kellie Smith Rachal; 3 sons; Eric Rachal, Sr, Patrick Rachal, and Keith Rachal of Alexandria; and 10 grandchildren; Hollie, Eric Jr., Patrick Jr., Chris, Jasmine, Antonio, Kirsten, Keric, Korleone, and Aatristany; and their loving mother's Anita Rachal, Mercedes Williams, Angel Jefferson and Kimberly Mason.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Manna House of Alexandria.
