Funeral services for Mrs. Esther Mae Jones Harrison will be held at 11am, Thursday, January 3, 2013 in Colfax, Louisiana at the First Baptist Church with the Reverend Charles Smith officiating. Committal services will follow in the Cruickshank Cemetery in Colfax, under the guidance of Gonzaque-Williams Mortuary.

Mrs. Harrison, 82, entered eternal rest on Friday, December 28, 2012 in her residence, surrounded by her children and their families.

Mrs. Harrison was born September 5, 1930, to the union Josh and Lucile Williams Jones. She was the devoted wife of Ned Harrison, Jr., and the loving mother of three children. Mrs. Harrison received herearly education in Grant Parish, and after receiving a B.S. Degree in Education from Grambling College, Mrs. Harrison returned to Grant Parish and touched the lives of children through education for 27 years. Mrs. Harrison was a devout Christian joyfully serving the Lord from July 28, 1940 until her death.

Welcoming her home are her parents, her husband of 46 years, siblings, Josh Willie, Thelma, Omiah, Louis, O'Neal and Catherine, a son-in-law, Glen Forch; nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends. A legacy of faith, love and devotion will be continued by her children, Carolyn Forch-Carpenter (Lloyd); Thadrick Harrison, Sr. (Terry) and Zelda H. Baines (Terry). Grandchildren, Vincent, Jaunte', Tatiana, Terrance, Thadrick, Jr., and Jairus; Great-grandchildren, J'Ques, William and Asjah Forch. Her daughter by love, Bernice H. Boston (Johnny).

Viewing will be from 9 am until time of service Thursday, January 3, 2013.
