Fred Sartori Jarred
A Mass of Christian Burial for Fred Sartori Jarred will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012, in St. Rita Catholic Church, with Rev. Stephen Soares officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Methodist Church, Deville, under the direction of John Kramer & Son.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Thursday at John Kramer & Son.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
Fred Sartori Jarred, age 69, of Baton Rouge, formerly of Alexandria, passed away October 7, 2012, in Our Lady of the Lake, Baton Rouge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde T. Jarred, Sr. and Ziranell Sartori Jarred, and two brothers, Clyde T. Jarred, Jr., John Burke Jarred and one stepson, Robert Duke McCardle.
Fred graduated from Bolton High School in 1961 and also attended LSU where he was an avid fan. He was a longtime member and Golf Course Superintendent at Fairwood Country Club in Baton Rouge where he retired. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an avid golfer and was loved by everyone.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-one years, Faye Beasley Jarred of Baton Rouge, two daughters, Debbie Jarred Pias of Alexandria and Donna Jarred King and her husband, Kyle of Alexandria and one stepson, Brett McCardle and his wife, Kelly of Mississippi, three siblings, Ziranell (Lady) Moreau and her husband, Ray of Pineville, Joe A. Jarred and his wife, Carol of West Monroe, Richard F. Jarred and his wife, Sally of Baton Rouge, and two sisters-in-law, Irma Lee Jarred and Nettie Jarred both of Alexandria, five grandchildren, Brittany Pias, Bryan Pias, Blake Pias, Chase King and Cody King, four stepgrandchildren, Dylan McCardle, Dalton McCardle, Andrew McCardle and Austin McCardle and two great grandchildren, Baylee Pias and Chloe King.
Pallbearers will be Chase King, Cody King, Bryan Pias, Blake Pias, Paul Jarred, Eric Jarred, Frank Beasley and Blaine Patin.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Laverne Fortenberry, Charles Story, Brittany Pias and Brett McCardle.
