Geneva Cecelia Dunn Scarbrock

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Geneva Cecelia Dunn Scarbrock at 10 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2013 in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, with Father Dan O'Connor officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of John Kramer & Son.

Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2013, and again from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Monday, at the funeral home. Recitation of the holy rosary will be at 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Geneva Cecelia Dunn Scarbrock, age 93, of Alexandria passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013, at the Oaks Care Center, Pineville.

Geneva is preceded in death by her parents Rufus and Eveline Dunn; her son Joseph Scarbrock; her brothers: John, Andrew, Leroy, and Tommy Dunn; and her sisters: Della Dunn Beaubouef and Eva Dunn Thiels.

Geneva was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church. She loved to crochet, raise her flowers, and spend time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include, her brother Houston Dunn and wife Lucille of Alexandria; her grandchildren: Ira Scarbrock and wife Davi of Alexandria, James "Terry" Scarbrock and wife Jenny of Pineville, Pam Socia and husband Paul of Alexandria, Tammy Bellino and husband Victor of Gardner; her ten great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Gary Dunn, Stanley Basco, Kenny Dunn, T. Vaughn, Frankie Rachal.
