Ina Marie Bordelon
Funeral Services for Ina Marie Bordelon will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marksville. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery #1. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Mrs. Bordelon, age 90 of Alexandria, formally of Marksville, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Summit Nursing Home in Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her first husband, George V. Bell, Sr., second husband, Whitney Paul Bordelon, and son, George V. "Buddy" Bell.
Mrs. Ina was a dedicated member of St. Rita's Catholic Church in Alexandria, former owner of the Pelican Club in Marksville, banquet coordinator for the Ramada Inn in Alexandria, pink lady volunteer at Christus Cabrini Hospital, and an avid bowler with the Cenla Womens Bowlers Association.
Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Robert Bell of Marksville, Bradley Paul Bordelon of Pineville, three daughters, Connie Sue Bedoya and husband Al of Pineville, Cynthia Bordelon of Alexandria, Colleen B. Sandel of Alexandria, one sister, Verda Mae "Pete" Chatelain of Mansura, 22 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Those honored to be pallbearers will be Steven Sandel, Whitney Sandel, Jason Bordelon, Tray Lachney, Tanner Deshautelle, Todd Bordelon, and Bruce Bell.
Visitation will be held at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville on Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until shortly before the time of services. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
