James "Jim" Francis Johnston
Funeral services for Mr. Johnston will be Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Tioga, La. with the Reverend Rick Gremillion officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden, Ball.
James "Jim" Johnston, 80, of Pineville, La. entered eternal rest on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Health South Rehabilitation Center in Alexandria, La. surrounded by his family.
Mr. Johnston was a native of Pennsylvania. He was a graduate of Midway High School, Midway, PA. He was a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Tioga. He was the 2nd Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus #9753. Soon after graduation he joined the U.S. Air Force
serving his country proudly with two tours in Vietnam. Thereafter retiring after 28 years of service as Chief Master Sgt. After retiring he opened his own business out of his backyard, still in operation in Tioga, known as Tioga Golf Car, Inc.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Hannah Johnston; his sister, Helen Kramer.
Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 57 years, Claudette Pelletier Johnston of Tioga; his sons, Jerry Johnston (Angie) of Tioga, Jeff Johnston (Sandy) of Lewisville, TX; his daughter, Janette Johnston of Irving, TX; his brothers, Paul Johnston (Grace) of Tioga, Tom Johnston (Mary Alice) of Columbus, Ohio, Ray Johnston (Emma) of McDonald, PA.; his sister, Mary Jean Speer of Connelsville, PA.; also survived by his 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Johnston of Ball, Julia Johnston of Tioga, Katherine Johnston of Lewisville, TX and Cameron Johnston of Lewisville, TX; 2 great grandchildren, Teagan Berry and Tahlia Webb.
Visitation will be at Rush Funeral Home Chapel, Pineville on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. Rosary will begin at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8-9:30 a.m. at Rush . With the service at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Tioga.
