Larry "Bullet" Randolph

Services for Larry "Bullett" Randolph will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2013 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverend Daryl Hoychick and Chaplain Keith Adcock officiating. Burial will be in Pratt Cemetery, Clearwater.

The family requests that visitation be observed Saturday at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will continue on Sunday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

Mr. Randolph, 71, of Pineville passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at The Palliative Care Unit at the VA Medical Center.

He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church; an avid duck hunter and fisherman. Mr. Randolph was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. Larry was a member of the U. S. Army, 1st Infantry Division (Big Red 1), and Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Vanguards. His position in the 1st Platoon was an AR 15 Rifleman, 1st Squad. He fought in the Iron Traingle. Mr. Randolph retired after 35 years of service at the International Papermill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston Edward and Thelma Fontenot Randolph; and son, Larry Keith Randolph.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 46 years, Rita Gayle Fontenot Randolph; son, David Randolph of Baton Rouge; sisters, Linda McGaskey, Gay Nell Doyle, special cousin and his family, Robert Hart Johnson, Sr. and his wife, Lisa; special cousins, Maxey Whatley, Dale Randolph, Sandi Cook and Debra Randolph; four grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Patin,Cory Patin, Robert H. Johnson, Sr., Robert H. Johnson, Jr., Jamie Fuselier, Lannie Fuselier, Dewaine Scallan, and L. C. Bourn. Honorary pallbearers will be Herman Chop, Beau Johnson and his brothers in arms from International Paper.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alexandria VAHCS, Patriot's Path Care Unit; Department of Veteran's Affairs Medical Center, Attn: Volunteer Services, P. O. Box 69004, Alexandria, LA 71306-9004.

The family would like to thank the Patriot's Path Palliative Care Unit at the VA Medical Center, especially Dr. Clement and Dr. Tan, nurses, Wanda, Liz, Carolyn, Sharon and Alar.
