Funeral services for Carolyn Ruth Miller will be held Wednesday December 5, 2012 at 1 PM in the chapel of John Kramer & Son with Rev. Lee Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Alexandria Memorial Gardens, Woodworth, under the direction of John Kramer & Son.

Mrs. Ruth Miller, age 83, of Alexandria, passed away December 2, 2012 at Lexington House.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Paul Miller; her parents Green B. and Emma Pearl Tracy; her daughter Deborah Miller Crowe, and one grandchild Robert Paul Tarver.

Ruth's greatest passions were quilting, bowling and crossword puzzles . She was an avid quilter, and was a member of the Patience Quilters of Alexandria for many years. Ruth was a member of the Cenla Bowling Association and won numerous local and state championships throughout her many years of membership. She was blessed with many friends over the years.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Paula Ann Harrington (Robert), of Branford, Connecticut; her sons Gregory Miller, of Alexandria and Bruce Miller of Dallas Texas; her grandchildren Michael and Gregory Harrington of Branford, Connecticut, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday in the chapel of John Kramer & Son.

The family would like to thank Leah Jeffress for being such a wonderful care taker and friend, and the staff members of both the Lexington House and Canterbury House for all of their services.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations may be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research at Grand Central Station PO Box 4777 New York, NY 10163-4777.
