Funeral services for Walker McNutt will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Beulah Baptist Church in Cheneyville with the Rev. Henry Prentiss officiating. Burial will follow in the Trinity Episcopal Cemetery in Cheneyville. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. McNutt, age 92 of Cheneyville passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014 at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital.

Mr. McNutt served in the Army Air Force during World War II where he was a waist gunner on a B24 Bomber and was involved in 50 bombing missions over Europe. He received the Purple Heart and Silver Star and completed his service to our country as a Tech Sergeant. Mr. Walker was an active community leader and active member of Beulah Baptist Church until his death. He was also a lifetime Mason. His favorite pastime was fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time at the family camp, "The Armadillo Ranch".

He is preceded in death by his wife; Velma Roy McNutt; his parents, Edgar and Ruby McNutt; his twin brother, Wayne McNutt; and brothers, Dennis McNutt and Bobby Joe McNutt.

Survivors include his wife; Betty Foote McNutt; daughters, Connie Sparrow of Monroe and Debbie Albritton and husband Tom of Pineville; brother, Donald McNutt of Cheneyville; grandchildren, Leigh Raines, William Albritton and Alyse Rodriguez. He is also survived by; Jim Thibodaux, Carol and Olin Desonier, Zack Thibodaux, James Desonier and Jon Desonier.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Beulah Baptist Church in Cheneyville.
