Charles Richard Ordner, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Richard Ordner, Sr. will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 4, 2012 in the Rush Chapel, Pine Prairie with Reverend David Plunkett officiating. Interment will follow in Turkey Creek Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pine Prairie.

Mr. Ordner, 79, of Pine Prairie entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in his daughter's residence with his family near his side.

Charles was known to everyone as "The Can Man".

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjetta Ordner; his parents, Charles and Jennie Ordner; one brother, Richard Ordner and two sisters, Alice Thies and Dorothy Duesler.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his five sons, Charles R. Ordner, Jr. and his wife, Becky of Pine Prairie, Rick Ordner of Pine Prairie, Danny Ordner of Simpson, Wayne Ordner of New Orleans and Tim Ordner and his wife, Patty of Oregon; two daughters, Sherry Ordner Rhines of Ville Platte and Maxine Irvin of Columbus, Ohio; one sister, Nancy Gibson of Brooklyn, Ohio and twenty grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Pine Prairie on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Friday, May 4, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m.
