I first met Dr. Rawson as my history professor at NSU. I had never been interested in the subject before, but he made it come alive for me, and I learned a lot. In later years I had the opportunity to tell him this as he became a member of my Presbyterian Church in Natchitoches where I got to know him all over again. He was a very kind man and I am very sorry for your loss.

Dr. Rawson was one of the nicest persons I ever met. He was also my favorite professor at NSU and was the primary reason I chose history as my major. His death deeply saddens me. I am so very sorry for your loss.
