Adelene Crooks Armand, 92, of Alexandria passed away October 2, 2012 in Baton Rouge, La.
Visitation will be held at Kramer Funeral Home in Alexandria on October 5, 2012 beginning at 1:00pm. A graveside service will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Ball, La. at 2:30pm with Father Dan O'Connor of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church officiating.
Adelene was born in Deville, La. to Thomas and Cecilia Paul Crooks on September 2, 1920. She lived her entire adult life in Alexandria where she worked alongside her husband in his businesses. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Guild. Adelene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt and was loved by many.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband of 38 years, Harry Armand, her son-in-law, Barry D. Root, and seven brothers and sisters.
Adelene is survived by a daughter Deborah Armand Root of Baton Rouge, and two sons, Harry L. Armand of Alexandria and Charles P. Armand of Baton Rouge, and her only grandchild, Adele Root, also of Baton Rouge.
