Bruce D. Moses, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Bruce D. Moses, Sr. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, Louisiana with Rev. Sam Russell and David Kiser officiating. Interment will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens, Pineville, Louisiana, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home in Pineville.

Mr. Moses, age 82, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria, Louisiana.

He was of the Pentecostal Faith. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a retired Vice-President for Quaker Oats, and then went on to form his own company, Moses and Associates, Military Food Brokerage. He was a 32nd degree Mason, and a member of the Elk's Lodge. To him, his greatest accomplishment was his unselfish and independent rearing, loving and caring for his three children.

He is preceded in death by his former wife and mother of his children, Brenda Lee Causey; parents, Peter and Elizabeth Moses; son, Dr. Bruce Moses, Jr.

He is survived by two daughters, Barbie M. Lovell (Arttie) of Glenmora, Belynda Moses Lane (Gino) of Opelousas; two brothers, W.C. Moses (Marian) of Oregon, Neil Moses (Mae) of San Diego, California; one sister, Bonnie McCreary of Texarkana, Texas; grandchildren Tyler, Archer & Nicholas Moses, Kawrene Lewis, Sean Morrison, Caleb Walters, Ethan Williams, Cassandra Strange, Laikyn, Robert II and Meredith Crappell; three great grandchildren, Kaloni Morrison, Heidi Kaye Lewis and Kendra Strange; his former wives and best friends, Wilma Moses and Terry Ann Foote; his former son-in-law and friend, Robert Michael Crappell, I; his "Grumpy" best friend, Howard Norman.

Pallbearers will be Arttie Lovell, Robert M. Crappell, I, Robert M. Crappell, II, Sean Morrison, John-John Thompson, Buffy Normand; honorary pallbearers will be Howard Norman and William Riggs.

Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday, December 28, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
