Dana Nicole "Nikki" Allbritton

Funeral services for Nikki Allbritton, 32, of Monroe will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday February 20, 2011 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers in Jena with Revs. Scott Smith and Huey Tarpley officiating. Interment will follow in the New Union Cemetery in Tullos, Visitation will begin at 4PM until 9PM Saturday February 19, 2011 and from 8AM until time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.

Ms. Allbritton was born February 23, 1978 in Monroe to the union of James E. and Cheryl Ganey Allbritton and she passed from this life on February 15, 2011 at her residence in Monroe.

She was an avid movie watcher and had a special place in her heart for animals. She graduated from LaSalle High School in Olla in 1996. She graduated with honors from NSU in Natchitoches with a degree in Liberal Arts and graduated from ULM in Monroe with a degree in Graphic Arts Design. She was a sales clerk for Gordon' s Jewelers in Monroe and formerly employed by Eye Masters of Monroe. She knew kinds and makes of many different kinds of automobiles and her vast knowledge of this was always so amazing. She was to be married to Jay Shifflette on November 5, 2011. Queen of Shortcuts was the nickname that her husband to be called her.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, E.M. and Nelda Allbritton and Ira and Jodie Ganey.

She is survived by parents, James E. and Cheryl Ganey Allbritton of Tullos; best friend and sister, Jamie Lyn Allbritton of Monroe; husband to be, Jay Shifflette of Monroe.

Pallbearers will be Keith Ganey, Frank Ganey, Lyle Ganey, Chris Chambers, John Wilson, Joe Sandifer, Tom Bradford and Jeff Clark.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Madere, Mike Keen, Jeremy Keen and John Mark Powell.
