Donald Douglas Parker

Services for Donald Douglas Parker will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2013, in Calvary Woodworth, with Rev. Christian Stubbs and Rev. Chris Jeffus officiating. Interment will be at the Woodworth Cemetery, Woodworth, LA under the direction of John Kramer & Son.

Donald Parker, 40, of Woodworth, passed away Sunday in his home after a four and a half year battle with cancer.

Mr. Parker was a member of the Assembly of Yahweh in Texas. He will join in heaven his ten month old son, Daniel Aaron Parker. Those left behind to celebrate his life include his wife, Dana Butler Parker of Woodworth; step-daughter, Megan Barringer of Woodworth; his mother, Marie Jeffus Boileau of Pineville; mother and father-in-law, Linda and David Butler, II of Woodworth; his brothers, Wesley Trammel of Panama City, Panama; and Terry Trammel of Freeport, Texas; his sister Sheree Pyka of Pineville; brother-in-law, David Butler, III of Woodworth; maternal aunts and uncles, George and Janet Jeffus of Pineville; Jane Fillingame of Saratoga, Texas; cousins, Lashoma Jeffus Clayton of Monroe; Chris Jeffus of Pineville and Hayley Jeffus of Pineville; nieces and nephews, Brittany and Brett Masters and Abbie Butler of Woodworth.

Friends are asked to call from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at Calvary Woodworth.

Pallbearers will be Chris Jeffus, Larry Martin, David Butler, III, Brett Masters, Blake Ballard, and David DeSoto.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation to MD Anderson; staff of Journey Hospice; staff of Hematology Oncology and Dr. Howard G. Wold and the many prayers and support from numerous friends and the Calvary Woodworth family.
