Earl J. Holden

Funeral services for Mr. Earl J. Holden will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Pollock United Pentecostal Church, Pollock, Louisiana with Reverends Danny Aycock, Jim Thompson and Michael Day officiating. Interment will be in Restland Memorial Gardens, Pollock, Louisiana under the direction of Rush Funeral Home in Pineville.

Mr. Holden, age 84, of Pollock, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on November 12, 2012 at his residence.

He was a native of Forest Hill. He was a retired Sawyer. He was a member of Pollock United Pentecostal Church. He was a. U.S. Army Veteran.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Perkins Holden; parents, Hiram and Eva Holden; one brother, Wilber Holden; two sisters, Hattie Yoder and Shirley Chamberlain; two grandchildren, Michael David Doty and Claudia Holden.

He is survived by five sons, Cecil Holden (Tessie) of Pollock, Danny Holden (Jo) of Pollock, Darrell Holden (Myrtis) of Bordelonville, Patrick Holden (Connie) of Pollock and Cedric Holden (Mandy) of Pollock; four daughters, Diane Thompson (Jim) of Manvel, Texas, Linda Nugent (Robert) of Marshall, Texas, Annette Doty (Michael) of LaPlace and Paula Landry (Maurice) of Hammond; three brothers, Aubrey Holden (Margie) of Glenmora, Arthur Holden (Dot) of Glenmora and Douglas Holden (Sherry) of Glenmora; two sisters, Betty Hampton (Sam) of Pasedena, Texas and Rhonda Sartin (Ricky) of Moss Bluff; twenty four grandchildren; forty nine great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Holden, Jeffrey Herald, Chad Holden, Jonathan Landry, Hawkins Holden, Aaron Thompson; honorary pallbearers will be Shelby Holden, Joshua Holden, D.J. Holden, Frankie Nugent and Brian Nugent.

Friends may call at Pollock United Pentecostal Church, Pollock on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
