Elizabeth Gunn Obituary

Mrs. Elizabeth Wardlow Gunn, 87 of Montgomery, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at her residence after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Gunn is a native of Montgomery, La., and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches with post graduate work at the University of Mississippi. Mrs. Gunn taught school in Missouri and then later taught at both Atlanta High School and Montgomery High School.
She was the daughter of the late James Owen Wardlow and the late Mabel Thompson Wardlow. Mrs. Gunn was also preceded in death by her husband Murrell Harrison Gunn. She is survived by her son Steve Gunn of Montgomery, La..
Funeral services will be held at 2PM Friday, July 23, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church of Montgomery with Reverend Charles "Chuck" LaCroix officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Montgomery.
Friends may visit with the family in the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
Pallbearers will be James Otis Garner, Johnny Wardlow, Von Gilcrease, Johnny Voss, Donal Milton and Gil Harrison. Honorary pallbearers will be Maurice Smith, Benny Reeves, and Tommy Harrison.
