Frank Evans Brame was born in Lake Charles on August 29, 1941, and he passed into glory on July 19, 2013 at Beverly Farm, his home in Godfrey,Illinois. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Hardin Brame, in 1997, and by his father, Frank M. Brame, in 2004. He is survived by his brother Joe Brame and wife Cyndi, of The Woodlands, Texas, his niece Melissa Morris-Brame and husband Monty, of Houston, Texas, and his nephew Joel Brame, of Phoenix, Arizona.

"Franko" (as he was known to many) enjoyed many years at home in Lake Charles, where he attended the Special Ed Class at Hamilton Elementary, taught by Beryl Long. In 1957 Franko moved to Beverly Farm, a residential community for adults with developmental disabilities, where he enjoyed amazing care and love. His parents regularly brought him to Lake Charles for visits, and visited him there. After both of them passed on, Joe and Cyndi visited Franko at Beverly Farm on his birthday each year.

His funeral will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 26, at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. The Rev. Charlie Langford, University United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery, next to both of his parents.

Pallbearers will be Joel Brame, Fred Cappel, David McCain, Reed Mendelson, Monty Morris-Brame and Harold Williams. Visitation is 9:00am until time of service at Hixson Funeral Home Chapel.

The family would like to pay special thanks to Franko's loving caregivers at Beverly Farm over the years, especially Sue Bricker, Jerry Criteser and Dorothy Noah, and also to his watchful and faithful guardian, John Hilgert.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dr. Groves B. Smith Guardianship Corporation, P. O. Box 715, Godfrey, IL 62035. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at
