Funeral services for Mr. Jerry A. Giddings will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2013 in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, Louisiana with the Reverends Roger Toney, Lonnie Weidner and Blaine Ussery officiating. Interment will be in Malone Cemetery, Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, Louisiana.

Mr. Giddings, age 72, of Ball, entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, Louisiana.

He was a member of the Pentecostals of Alexandria. He was owner and operator of Jerry's Backhoe Service. He was an extreme avid fisherman. He raced boats for many years. He loved his family. He was a member of the Ball Town Council for 23 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran; serving in the Vietnam War.

He is preceded in death by his father, Albert Giddings.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Fay Giddings of Ball; one son, Gerald Keith Giddings of Ball; mother, Mattie Jo Downs of Deville; one brother, Joe Giddings (Beulah) of Deville; one grandchild, Alexander Bryce Giddings of Virginia Beach, Virginia; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Reggie Murrell, Jr., Steve Murrell, Richard Bishop, Lane Vercher, Bob Scott and Ken Ortego; honorary pallbearers will be members of the Bayou Bass Masters of Alexandria, Louisiana.

Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, Louisiana on Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
