Home going services for Johnnie Fred Reeves will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2013, in the First United Pentecostal Church of Oakdale with Brother Timothy Kelley and Brother Sam Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mr. Reeves, 72, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 10, 2013 in Pineville. He was born on June 14, 1940, in Oakdale to the union of Virgil Reeves and Hesper Hart Reeves. He worked at Buddy's IGA for years as a stock clerk. He was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church and sang first tenor in the Oakdale Quartet. He was a loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Reeves and Hesper Hart Reeves.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty-six years, Danita Jones Reeves; five brothers, Eldon W. Reeves and wife Johnnie of Opelousas, Charles Reeves and wife Elaine of Oakdale, David Reeves and wife Ina of Fordland, Missouri, Harmon Reeves and wife Louise of DeRidder, and James Reeves and wife Veronica of Blue Springs, Missouri; two sisters, Francis Reeves of Oakdale and Elizabeth Golemon and husband Freddy of Opelousas; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Pallbearers to serve will be Richard Reeves, Byron Reeves, Kevin Reeves, Brent Reeves, Todd Aaron, and Todd Golemon.

Visitation will be observed today from 3:00 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Wednesday, from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
