Funeral services for Mr. Larry Warner Clark will be at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Rick Gremillion officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Monday, May 28, 2012 and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Hixson Brothers in Pineville. Christian Wake service will be held at 6:30 Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Clark, 79, of Pineville, died Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Clark was a graduate of Santa Monica City College. He was a retired supervisor for Boeing Aero Space Company. He was the recipient of the Apollo Achievement Award from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The award reads "In appreciation of dedicated service to the nation as a member of the team which has advanced the nation's capabilities in aeronautics and space and demonstrated them in many outstanding accomplishments culminating in Apollo 11's successful achievement of man's first landing on the moon, July 20, 1969." He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict having worked on Saber Jets and X-15's and was a member of the AF Association.
Mr. Clark coached his boys baseball and football teams during their years of growing up. He enjoyed taking his sons to aviation shows in California and Nascar races as well. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis Minor Clark and Eula Rose Freeman Clark; and a brother, Gary Clark.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Rita Robichaux Clark of Pineville; sons, Larry Michael (Barbara) Clark of Manhatton Beach, California, Steven Kelly Clark (Nicolette) of Bell Tower, California, Patrick Francis Clark (Marilyn) of Hewitt, Texas, Kevin Christopher Clark (Cheryl) of Carrollton, Georgia, Daniel Timothy Clark of Long Beach, California; grandchildren, Tyler Clark, Taylor Clark, Brittany Clark, Brett Clark, Steve Matthew Clark, Justin Clark, Pat Richard Kennedy, Kevin Clark, Dustin Jackson, Karrisa Clark, Hunter Clark and Savanah Clark; and one great grandchild, Crew Clark.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Robichaux, Patrick LaBorde, Larry Hinton, David and Paul Hicks, Tommy Robichaux, and John Robichaux.
