A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Marjorie Packett will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Colfax, La with Father Steve Brandow officiating. Interment will be at St. Rose Cemetery in Aloha, LA under the direction of Kramer of Colfax.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 16, 2013 from 4:00-8:00p.m., and again from 8:30-9:30a.m. Monday, June, 17, 2013 at Kramer of Colfax. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:30p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Marjorie Packett, 81, passed away Thursday, June 13,2013 at the Grace Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Julian A. Packett, her parents John and Pearl Stanfield, her brother Ray S. Stanfield, her grandson C.J. Packett and her great grandson Elijah McLeod.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters; Marjorie Daniels and her husband Joseph of Monroeville, AL and Sherry Hirschler and husband Robert of Hutchinson, KS; one son John A. Packett and wife Ginger of Pineville, LA. Twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Packett loved to cook and spend time with her family. She was retired with over 20 years of service to Bell South.
