Mary Etta Williams Tatum

Graveside services celebrating the life of Mary Etta Tatum will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 20, 2013, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Brother Jack Sawyer of Pineville 1st Presbyterian Church officiating, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

A private family gathering will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m., until the procession to the cemetery.

Mary Etta, 86, of Alexandria, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at her residence, surrounded by family.

She was a member of Pineville 1st Presbyterian Church and was devoted to her faith, and had a passion to serve Christ with her whole heart. She loved her family, being a wife, mother and grandmother was her pride and joy and will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by a son, Steven F. Tatum; her parents, Lloyd and Elsie Courtney Williams and a sister, Sara Elsie Reeves.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 66 years, Ray Tatum; son, Louie Ray Tatum; daughter, Rosemary Weiner; brother, Lloyd Williams and wife, Nell; sister, Joyce Meade; grandchildren, Allison Price, Lauren Weiner, Christopher Tatum, Taylor Tatum, Ashley Tatum, Mallory Tatum, Steven Tatum, II and Jonathan Tatum; great-grandchildren, Daniel Price, Luke Price and Tatum Price and daughter-in-law, Michelle Tatum.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be her children and grandchildren.
