Graveside services officiated by Rev. Donald Dulaney will be held at the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery, Sikes, Louisiana, on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. for Maude Christine Douglas Young, aged 92 years, 10 months, who passed away on February 27, 2013, at her home in Pineville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Alexander and Virginia Maude Case Douglas, her husband, F. Dwight Young, her son, Roy C. Young, her sisters Clotilde Wink, Etta Mae Tillman, Navy Gay Hendrix, and her brothers, Marshal Douglas, Carey Douglas, Jack Douglas, Elisha "Happy" Douglas, and Jim Douglas.

She is survived by her brother Bill Douglas; son Fred D. Young and wife Karin of Marietta, Georgia; her two daughters Vickie Kelly and husband Tom of Raymond, Mississippi; Sherry Scroggs and husband Harvey of Pineville; daughter-in-law Phyllis Young of Big Cane; grandchildren: Stephen Young and wife Amanda of Delhi; David Young and wife Michelle of Columbus, Ohio; Kara Brister and husband Jacob of Vicksburg, Mississippi; Mark Kelly and wife Jennifer of Alexandria, Virginia; Noel Young of Baton Rouge; Disney Young of Big Cane; Eddie Scroggs and Andrew Scroggs of Pineville; and eight great grandchildren.

Through the years she was a welcoming hostess who enjoyed preparing meals for friends, family, and unexpected guests. She was a long-time member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She cherished her many friends at the Ball Senior Citizens Center, and loved her

Sunday School class at Kingsville Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Scroggs, Andrew Scroggs, Harvey Scroggs, Tom Kelly, Glenn Young, Stephen Young, and Jacob Brister.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nelson Young, David Young, Disney Young, and Mark Kelly.

Visitation will be held at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home on Sunday, March 3, 2013, from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, 7200 Desiard Street, Monroe, LA 71203.
