Pete Aaron Gaspard
Funeral services for Pete Aaron Gaspard will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2013 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Father Joseph A. Bordelon officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Hixson Brothers, Pineville Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Gaspard, 85, of Alexandria, passed from this life on Monday, January 7, 2013 at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital surrounded by his family.
Mr. Gaspard was a member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church. He was a Mason and Shriner and served as President of Cenla Shrine Club in 1994 and a member of the Dessert Wheels Mini Bike Unit. He was a salesman during his working life at Lee Dee Cigar and Candy Company, Alexandria and was a salesman and manager of Pan American Imports, Lake Charles. Mr. Gaspard was a U.S. Navy veteran during World War II serving in the Aleutian Islands and during the Korean Conflict, serving aboard the USS John C. Butler Destroyer Escort. He was a member of the VFW Post #1736 and the American Legion Post #3.
His parents, Oscar J. and Aramid Aymond Gaspard, preceded him in death.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 63 ½ years, Helen Lazard Gaspard; son, Michael Aaron Gaspard and wife, Kathleen McLin; daughter, Roxanne Gaspard Price and husband, Ronnie; grandchildren, Courtney Price Gremillion, Brittney Price Finnerty, Magin Gaspard Cromwell and Michael Aaron Gaspard, Jr.; great grandchildren, Abby, Alex, Colleen, Corinne, Jackson Aaron, Jackson, Madeline and Blake; a number of nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Alex Gremillion, Aaron Gaspard, Ronnie Price, Kevin Ashworth, Chris Gremillion, Tim Cromwell and Joey Gaspard.
The family has designated the
