Funeral service for Robert "David" Fowler will be at 3pm on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in the New Hope Baptist Church with the Reverend Steve Spears officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in Calcasieu under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Alexandria.

David, age 56, of Pineville entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 20, 2014 in Alexandria. David was born on October 17, 1957 to the union of Patrick and Gracie Edwards Fowler in Alexandria. He served in the United States Navy from 1975-1986 and sailed on the first underwater submarine around the world, ending his services as "Chief". He was employed by State Farm Insurance from 1993-2002 and United Fire Group from 2002-present. His home church was "His Church" Baptist Church in Pineville. David was a selfless man and touched the lives of everyone he met. He was a devoted and loving husband and father.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Robert Fred and Jessie Fowler and Simon and Doshie Edwards; sister, Patricia Sperduto of Pittsburgh, Pa; father-in-law, Cetha J. Braddy of Calcasieu; son, Nelson Ryan Fowler of Deridder, La and nephew, Paul Sperduto of Pittsburgh, Pa.

David is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Jennifer Lea Braddy Fowler; son, Jonathan David Fowler; daughter Laci Elizabeth Fowler; parents, Patrick and Gracie Fowler; sister & brother-in-law, Arlene and Jim Gavagan; mother-in-law, Beth Braddy; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Rene and Eddie Brady; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Amanda and Robert Parker; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Cetha Braddy Jr. and Christine Braddy; aunts & uncles: Suzie Walters, Johnny Edwards, Bill Fowler, Terry & Linda Braddy; nieces & nephews: Amber & Tyler Linzay, Mark Brady, Carissa Sawyer, Connie Sims, Mary Clark, Jamie Sperduto, Rachel Sperduto, great niece, Brooke Avery Brady, and many wonderful cousins, along with a host of friends.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Eddie Brady, Mark Brady, Jerry Braddy, Tommy Braddy, Robert Parker, Dwayne Walters, Jason Walters, and Jim Gavagan.

Honorary pallbearers honored to serve will be Stephen Braddy, Zach Westgate, and Troy Meaux.

Visitation will be today, Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in the New Hope Baptist Church beginning at 4 pm until 10 pm and Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 9 am until time of service at 3 pm.
