Funeral services for Mrs. Theresa M. Heston will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Tioga, Louisiana with Father Craig Scott officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, Louisiana.
Mrs. Heston, age 77, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at her residence.
Theresa Michiels was the youngest of 5 when she was born on March 20, 1936. At only 9 days old, her mother Eugenia Peterman died leaving her father, Julius Michiels, a widower. She fell in love and married Bobby W. Perkins on March 2, 1954. She had four children; Stephen Wayne Perkins partnered with Connie Moser, Elizabeth G. Lowery married to Bill Lowery, Greg B. Perkins married to Traci B. Perkins and Anna T. Metrejean married to James R. Metrejean, Jr. Bobby died on May 17, 1972. She recovered from the loss and found another to make her smile. On July 26, 1974 she married Thomas A. Heston. In the summer of 1978, she had a brain aneurysm at only 42 years old. She got through it, but had to relearn how to do everything. She was never quite the same again, but she always kept family & religion important and loved her grandchildren. She had 12: Shanna D. Bonner (Gari), Stephanie D. Stuckey (Shannon), September Perkins, William T. Lowery (Kathryn), Elizabeth M. Peek (Ben), Brad W. Lowery (Amanda), Annetta T. Ramos (Joe), Crystal Francis (Koedy), Ainsley Perkins, James "Trey" R. Metrejean, III, Joshua C. Metrejean, and Adrianna T. Metrejean. Theresa has 15 great grandchildren. She leave behind two siblings; John Michiels (Margaret) and Mary Ann Dixon.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law; honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters and granddaughters-in-law.
Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
A Rosary will be recited on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville at 12:00 noon, followed by Mass at Church.
Family and friends will gather at the Country Inn and Suites in Pineville, after the graveside services.
