Cecil Lucille LeBow Bruce

Services for Mrs. Cecil Lucille LeBow Bruce will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 30, 2014 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverend David Newton and Reverend Philip Robertson officiating. Graveside services with burial will be at 3:00 p.m., at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Sour Lake, Texas.

The family requests that visitation be observed Wednesday at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will continue on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Bruce, 83, of Kolin (Deville) passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014 at The Oaks Care Center.

She was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church, where she was an active member of the Joy Club. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Bruce graduated from USL, Lafayette. During her working career she taught LA History at Carencro Jr. High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Clyde LeBow and Florence Willie Barfield Boyd; brother, Richard Ray Boyd.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 64 years, Roman Bruce; son, Keith R. Bruce (Peggy) of Kolin, LA; daughters, Madeline Babin and husband, Marty of Spring, Texas, Lynette Mullins and husband, James of Hubbard, Texas; sister, Teddy Arlis St. Ama and husband Hoyt of Kemah, Texas; grandchildren, Camille (Cami) Bruce, Carmen Bruce, Zeph Mullins, Cleve Arlis Mullins and Cameron Babin; great grandchild, Landon Bruce.
