Loteen M. Casey

Services for Mrs. Loteen M. Casey will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2014 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family requests that visitation be observed Friday at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Casey, 93, of Alexandria passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at her residence.

She was a member of Baptist Temple Church, since 1953, where she taught the 3 and 4 year olds and served as church secretary for many years. During her working career, she served as secretary for the Masonic Home for Children and was a friend to many of the children that lived at the home. Mrs. Casey was a member of the Eastern Star. She will always be remembered for seeing the good in everybody and wanted to see people be successful.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John "J. Q." Casey; parents, John F. and Evie Glover McGhee; brothers, Tubby McGhee and Harold McGhee.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Johnny C. Casey (Melinda); daughter, Pamela L. Livengood (Kerry); sister, Inez Adams; grandchildren, Joshua J. Casey, Susanna, Emily, Christian, and Benjamin Livengood; great grandchild, Emberlyn Casey.

Pallbearers will be William Holmes, John Pickles, Freddie McCall, Lloyd Langston, Kenneth McCall and Kerry Livengood.
