Funeral services for Paul Tremblay will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the Church of the Little Flower in Evergreen with the Rev. Bartholomew Ebey officiating. Burial will follow with military honors at the Pythian Cemetery in Bunkie. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mr. Tremblay, age 80 of Evergreen, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Grace Home in Alexandria.
He served in the U.S. Army after being drafted in 1954. After the service he went on to work as a Quality Control Inspector for Pratt Whitney and Boeing.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Napoleon and Antoinette Lemieux Tremblay and a brother, Leo F. Tremblay.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years; Ada Barron Tremblay of Evergreen; two sons, Ted Shawn Tremblay of Breaux Bridge and Shanon Paul "Shea" Tremblay and his wife Jennifer Langston of Cottonport; two daughters, Kristi Maria Brenner and her husband Daniel of Alexandria and Keely Ann Gary and her husband John of League City, TX; two brothers, William J. Tremblay and his wife Elizabeth of St. Johnsbury, VT and John A. Tremblay of Chickapee, MA; and his 6 grandchildren, Kerstin Tremblay, Hillary Gary, Logan Gary, Zachery Brenner, Taylor Brenner, and Abigail Gary.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
