A Mass of Christian Burial for Larry W. Jeane will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Pineville with Father Bruce Miller officiating. Burial will be at Fort Jesup Cemetery in Many with Masonic Rites.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Hixson Brothers, Pineville Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and continued Thursday at the Church from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. A Wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.
Mr. Jeane, 68, of Pineville, passed from this life on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Jeane was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Pineville. He was a member of W. D. Fisher #480 F & AM, Deville and Orange Lodge, Anacoco. During his working career, he was in his 3rd term as Pineville City Marshal Wards 9, 10 and 11, worked 24 years in the Criminal Justice, Public Safety and Corrections Fields. He was a beloved husband, father and PawPaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilmer and Lillian Jeane and brother, Dennis Jeane.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Johanne Penczek Jeane; son, Paul Joseph Jeane and (Sandra); daughter, Joan Marie Jeane Scott and (Jason); brothers, G.B. Jeane, Jr., Gerald Jeane and Gregory Jeane; grandchildren, Victoria Ann Scott, Isabella Grace Scott and Nikolas Walter Scott and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Paul Jeane, Jason Scott and the L.C. Football Team.
Honorary pallbearers will be his three brothers, Gil, Gregory and Jerry; Billy Hicks and Pineville City Marshal Deputies.
