Pineville - Funeral Services for JoAnn Langston will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018, at Kingsville Baptist Church, Ball, with Pastor Bart Walker and Richard C. Bushnell officiating. Interment will be a private family ceremony at Alexandria Memorial Gardens under the direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held at the church beginning on Thursday, February 15, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Friday, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

JoAnn was born on June 5, 1943, and passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at the age of 74. She graduated from Lecompte High School in 1960, received her bachelor's degree in English Education from Northwestern State University in 1964, and began her teaching career at Oak Hill High School. JoAnn received her Master's degree +30 in Guidance and Counseling from Louisiana State University in the early 1970's, and after years of teaching English and French, became the guidance counselor at Rapides High School. She worked at several schools in Rapides and LaSalle parishes, and retired in 2015 from Tioga High School. The lives she touched are unmeasurable, and the love, guidance and words of wisdom she gave so freely will always be remembered. She taught Sunday School at Kingsville Baptist Church for many years and loved her SonShine Sisters.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Wallace Langston; parents, Joe and Janie Monk; sisters, Stella Monk Rawls, and Dorothy Faye Langston; and granddaughter, Leigh Ann White.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Paula Kircher-Alvis (Keith) of Ball; step-daughters, Janet Langston White of West Monroe, and Susan Langston Poole (Sam) of Pineville; step-sons, David Langston (Sandy) of Forest Hill, and Richard Langston (Melinda) of Boise, ID; grandchildren, Rachel Langston of Plano, TX, Adam Poole (Katie) of Collierville, TN, Aaron Poole (Jessica) of Pineville, Lindsey White Morrow (Lee) of West Monroe, Katherine White Webb (Billie) of Fort Meade, MD, Meghan Poole Tate (Tim) of Madison, MS, Molly Langston Arabian (Vatche) of Wilsonville, OR, Clay Langston (Amy) of Alexandria, and Sydney and Hailey Kircher of Ball; cousin, Eileen Nichols of Salinas, CA, great niece, Karen Smiley Chevallier, 10 great grandchildren, and a host of beloved family and friends.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Adam Poole, Aaron Poole, Clay Langston, Sam Poole, David Langston, Tim Tate, Danny Rawls, Darrin Rawls and Ben Arrington. Honorary pallbearers will be H.R. Rawls, Bill Chevallier and Marvin Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Kingsville Baptist Church at 3911 Monroe Highway, Ball, LA 71405.
