Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby B. Chandler, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, with Reverend Dennis Brown officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Ball, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mrs. Chandler, age 88, of Pineville, died Friday, March 11, 2011 at Lexington House in Alexandria, where she had lived for the last year. She was born March 9, 1923 in Dry Prong.
She was a dedicated member of The Pentecostals of Alexandria and was a Foster Grandparent for 15 years at Pinecrest State School. Ruby will always be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend of many.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Otho L. Chandler; parents, Thomas and Alice Rambo; sisters, Jessie Hudgens, Audette Sims and Myrtle Marlette; brothers, Wilson Rambo, Stanley Rambo, and Fred Rambo.
Survivors include her sister, Alice Pruett; brother Albert Rambo; children, Melba Everett, Nelda Poston, and Pam Franks; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Louis Descant, Gerald Everett, Gene Franks, Ryan Franklin, Marshall Xavier and Mike DuBois.
Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
