Services for Mr. Walter Erwin will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2011, in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Jerry Newman officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville. A Masonic Service will be held in the Chapel.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Erwin,78, of Ball passed away Friday, December 16, 2011 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.

He was a retired Drilling Supervisor for Trans World Drilling. He was a member of Curtis T. Hines Masonic Lodge #317 of Tioga. He was an avid private pilot, enjoyed coon hunting, and telling tall tales with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elisha and Elsie Erwin; brothers, Elisha Erwin, Jr. and Allen Erwin.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 58 years, Nova Nadine Erwin; sisters, Linda Erwin of Kentucky, Majoria Joyce Davis, Marjorie Loyce McGennis both of Indiana; sons, Roy Wayne Erwin, Shane E. Erwin; daughters, Vickie Erwin Hart, Connie Erwin Johnson; grandchildren, Brendon Dubroc, Dustin H. Johnson, April Johnson, Austin Erwin, Laiken Erwin, great grandchildren, Hannah Dubroc, Hunter Dubroc, and Gage Dubroc.

Pallbearers will be Lynn Knight, Gary McGennis, Tim McGennis, Mark Milliner, Chris Pearce and Clayton Campbell.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled and Burned Children.
