Funeral services for Reginald Joseph Williams will be held at 2 pm, Monday, September 10, 2012 in the Hopewell Methodist Church with the Reverend Sharon Harris officiating. Committal services will follow in the Black Jack Cemetery of Pitkin under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Reginald, 83, of Pitkin, entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 6, 2012 in Christus St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles. He was born on March 25, 1929 in Reids to Edwin and Esther Houston Williams. He was a retired school bus driver for Allen Parish serving the Fairview schools. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, uncle, and friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Esther Williams; his loving wife, Troy Chaney Williams; one son, Roland Wayne Williams; and one brother, Eddie Williams.

He leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memory, three sons, Ronnie Williams, wife Yvette of Pitkin, Derryl Williams, fiancé Carol Johnson of Oberlin, and Kevin Williams, wife Cris of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one brother, Roger Williams, wife Alice of Lake Charles; one sister, Nelva Jean Nassar-Jackson, husband Wesley of Lake Charles; loving companion, Stella Brown of Lake Charles; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Friends may call Monday, September 10, 2012 from 10 am until time of service in the church.
