Services for Mr. David A. Kalil will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday November 1, 2012 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with Dr. Joe Sharp officiating. Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens.
The family requests that visitation be observed Wednesday October 31, 2012 at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will continue on Thursday November 1, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Kalil of Alexandria passed away at the age of 74 Saturday October 27, 2012 at his residence.
He was member of Gospel Light Baptist Church, Pineville where he was in the Bass Club. Mr. Kalil served his country for 22 years as Master Sergeant during the Vietnam War in the Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary F. Silvia Kalil; brothers, George, Jimmy, Joe, Al and Richard Kalil.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 24 years, Elaine Kalil of Alexandria; sons, David Wayne Kalil of Petaluma, California, Gary Paul Kalil of Petaluma, California and Timothy Randall Sanders and wife, Esther of Dixon California; daughters, Karen Marie Gugel and husband, Ken of Petaluma, California and Tamera Rene Barzas of Lafayette; sister, Jane George of Amarillo, Texas; twelve grandchildren, one great grandson and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Dellan Barzas, Kevin Barzas, Josh Sanders, Randy Smith, Mark Smith and Robert Belgard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Corey Rogers and Brad Fisher.
