Services for Mr. Richard D. Harper will be at 11:00 am on November 17, 2012 at Lone Star Missionary Baptist Church, in Pineville, with the Rev. (Dr.) Wardell Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Lone Star Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Gonzaque-Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Richard D. Harper, 87, of 124 Harvard Rd., Pineville passed away on November 11, 2012 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.

He was employed by the Kansas City Southern Railroad- L & A bridge gang. He retired after 24 1/2 years of service. He served in many capacities in the church and community. He was a fisherman and hunter, everyone that knew him, knew his family was foremost in his life. He was a very common man with high expectations.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, 8 sisters and brothers.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Beulah W. Harper; daughters Belinda (Richard Blue), Stephanie (John Tademy, Sr.), sister Mrs. Corrine Frances Williams; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; one God Sister, one God Daughter, one God Son, and a host of nieces, nephews, realtives and other friends.

Friends may call at the church between 9:00 am and 11:00 am for viewing.
