Memorial services for Mrs. Mary Sue Moore Nolan will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Pollock Cemetery, Pollock, Louisiana with Reverend David Guillot and her son-in-law, Minister Gary Hines officiating, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, Louisiana.
Mrs. Mary M. Nolan, age 85, of Pollock, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Woods Haven Nursing Home, Pollock, Louisiana.
She was born February 10, 1927 in Cotton Valley, Louisiana to the late William Newton (Slim) Moore and Jewel Travis Warren Moore; also preceding her was a sister, Grace Moore Norvell; two brothers, Howard Reuben (Sonny) Moore and Warren Eugene Moore. She was the widow of Lester Bryan Nolan.
She was a past member of First Baptist Church of Pollock, and current member of Bryan College Station Church of Christ in College Station, Texas. She was a graduate of Cotton Valley High School as Salutatorian; after High School she went to work in an Army ammunition plant as our nation was engaged in WWII until her marriage to the late Lester Bryan Nolan. She took great pride in her three children, Mary Katherine Nolan Hines (Gary) of College Station, Texas, Michael Bryan Nolan (Sandy) of Waco, Texas and David Glenn Nolan (Dianne) of Bentley, Louisiana. She loved her six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, William Travis Moore of Minden, Louisiana.
