Richard Leon Brown

Services celebrating the life of Richard Leon Brown will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Brother Clark Palmer, officiating. Burial will be at Malone Cemetery, Ball under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.

The family asks that visitation be observed Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Hixson Brothers, Pineville, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Richard Brown, 70, of Ball, passed from this life on December 9, 2012, at CHRISTUS St. Francis Cabrini Hospital.

He attended Faith Baptist Church inTioga and loved fishing. Married for thirty years, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy and during his working career he was a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irwin James and Hazel Eloise Brown and one sister, Faye Smith.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of thirty years, Rosa Brown; sons, Johnny Jones and wife Donna of Ball, Cleatus Jones and wife Cindy of Deville; daughters, Rosa Simpson and husband J. R. of Tioga, Wanda Simpson and husband Bradley of Tioga, Brenda Paul and husband Tommy of Deville; brother, James Brown and wife Diane of Copeland, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren and twenty nine great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be J.R. Simpson, B.J. Simpson, Jonathan Paul, Trey Stokes, T.J. Paul and Mark Stokes.
