Yvonne Martin Aucoin

After a long a hard struggle, Yvonne Martin Aucoin passed away on December 13, 2012. Yvonne loved her family and this world so much that she did not want to leave it, fighting back valiantly until the very end. Her life was a circle of love that touched all who knew her.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 16, 2012 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville, with Dr. Mark R. Martin officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville.

Visitation will be held at Hixson Brothers, Pineville Sunday from 12:30 until time of service.

Yvonne was born on July 15, 1928 in Lena, Louisiana. She spent her youth in Lena and on May 20, 1946, married the love of her life, Marcel J. Aucoin. They made their home together in Pineville for 66 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, -Granmommer-, sister, daughter and aunt. She will be remembered for her loving smile, kindness and devoted love.

She is survived by her husband, Marcel J. Aucoin; daughters, Arleen Hague and husband, David, Kerri Walker and husband, Dennis; grandsons, Dr. Jon-David Hague and Dr. Seth Martin Hague, and Jeremy Larkin Smith; great grandchildren, Ayana and Keigen Sueishi-Hague as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Cary Martin and mother, Sybil Martin Beebe; sisters, Iva Beebe, Temone Cupples, brother, Huey Martin and son-in-law, Jim Smith.

Yvonne Martin Aucoin showed the finest qualities of America's Greatest Generation; courage, commitment, generosity, sacrifice, love and devotion to family and friends.

She was the woman of Proverbs 31: Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her….give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Pallbearers will be Tom Cupples, Raymond Cupples, Harlis Beebe, Reagan Cupples, Tommy Cupples and Larry Dufrene.

The family has designated the , 1761 N. 19th Street, Monroe, LA 71201for memorial contributions.
