Albert Jacob

Services for Albert Jacob will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 7, 2013, at Augustana Lutheran Church,

2732 Lower Third Street, with the Rev. William Vogt, officiating. Interment will be in the St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery, Cocoville, Louisiana, under the direction on Gonzaque-Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Albert Jacob, 90 of Alexandria,went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife, Mrs. Jacob, on Friday, December 29, 2012, at Rapides Regional Medical Center. Mr. Jacob was in the US Army and served in World War II. He was employed at Veteran Administration Hospital,

Pineville, Louisiana for 36 years. Since his retirement, Mr. Jacob enjoyed hunting, traveling with his family and visiting with friends.

Mr. Albert Jacob was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Hazel Lavalais Jacob; his parents, Simon and McCardy Washington Jacob; three sisters and three brothers.

Survivors are five daughters, Jocelyn Jacob, Marilyn Gayle Madison, Phyllis Jacob (Eddie Louis) Culbert, Alexandria, Aletha Wiggins, Portsmouth, Vargina, Barbara Jacob (LeRoi) Houston, Sugar Land, Texas, and one sister-in-law, Georgette Taylor of Baton Rouge; twelve grandchildren, eighteen greatgrandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Friends may call at Augustana Lutheran Church, 2732 Lower Third Street, Alexandria, LA., 9:00 am - 11:00 am. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 am.
