Pauline "Polly" Powell

Services for Pauline "Polly" Powell will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverends Joe Kite and Ray Ford officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bentley.

The family requests that visitation be observed Friday, January 4, 2013 at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and will continue on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time.

Pauline passed away at home on January 3, 2013 at the age of 79, on what would have been her 63rd wedding anniversary. She was born March 20, 1933 to Morris and Mary Fox.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 56 years, George Dewey Powell, son, Rodney Powell and brother, J. B. Fox.

Pauline is survived by her daughter, Anita Rambin (Mike) of Alexandria; daughter-in-law, Darlene Powell of Pineville; granddaughters, Jennifer McVay (Jerry), Jessica Rambin, Brandi Roberts (Kerry), Sara Kelsey (Daryl), Victoria Powell (Justin), Kaitlyn Powell (Shane) and two grandsons, Rodney Dustin Powell, and Rodney Christopher Hoon. She also had 10 great grandchildren.

She was a homemaker, who loved to cook and sew and spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She loved watching and listening to praise music as well as Sunday Morning services. She was a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed greatly by all her family and friends.
