Funeral services for Mr. Marvin Easley will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, Louisiana with Reverend Stewart Holloway officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Pineville, Louisiana, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, Louisiana.

Mr. Easley, age 64, of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at his residence in Pineville, Louisiana.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pineville. He was on the Board of Directors for Life Share Blood Center for over 30 years. He served on the Board of Directors for the Shepherd Center. He was a former Eagle Scout, Scout Master and continued today to support the Boy Scouts of America. He had an under grad degree in accounting and a masters in management. He was a Certified Public Accountant, where he has been in private practice for over 35 years. He was certified in Financial Forensics, a certified Financial Planner, board certified fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and a board certified fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He was also a former Comptroller of Rapides General Hospital. He was a greatly admired and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and gave freely of himself to the public. He had a big heart and a bigger laugh. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ellzey " Marvin" Easley and Miriam Easley Thom.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Linda Easley of Pineville; two sons, Russell C. Easley (Alicia) of Pineville, Jeff D. Easley of Pineville; one daughter, Robin M. Easley of Lafayette; one brother, Jeff R. Easley (Mary Ann) of Baton Rouge; one sister, Ann E. Smith (Randy) of Denham Springs; one grandchild, Benjamin Easley.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Crouch, Eugene Noel, Victor Sooter, Joe Rosier, Robert Bash, Richard Beeson, George Saucier; honorary pallbearer, David King.

Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Life Share Blood Center, Shepherd's Center, Boy Scout's of America or First Baptist Church of Pineville, Louisiana.
