Services celebrating the life of Mildred Lewis Urban will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville, with Brother Jerry Crise officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Hixson Brothers.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Dan Debevec, Cole Debevec, Connor Debevec, Bobby Urban and Marcus McCrary. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Debevec and Mickey Urban.
The family asks that visitation be observed Friday, February 15, 2013, at the funeral home, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Mrs. Urban, 96, of Pineville, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Grace Home, Alexandria.
She was a member of The First United Methodist Church, Alexandria, the 50/50 Sunday school class and also active in the Rambling Hills garden club. She had attended and taught at Alexandria Business College. She was deputy clerk at the Rapides Parish Clerk of Courts office until her retirement. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband Colin M. Urban; parents, Thomas R. Lewis, Sr. and Arlene Darnell Lewis; brothers, Thomas Raymond Lewis, Jr., Bob Lewis, and Fred E. Lewis.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Annette U. Stepp and Charlene U. Whiddon and husband Don; all of Pineville; grandchildren, Stacey Debevec, Daryl Stepp, Karen McCrary and Melissa Montgomery and nine great grandchildren.
