Funeral services for Bruce Harrwood Burns will be held at 2 pm, Tuesday, April 30, 2013 in the Church of God of Prophecy of Pineville with the Reverend Robert Barker officiating. Committal service will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ball under the guidance of White Oaks, Alexandria.
Mr. Burns, 58, of Alexandria entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 28, 2013 in the Rapides Regional Medical Center. He was born on June 15, 1954 in Leesville to the union of Alvin Burns and Loraine Marie White-Dubois. He was a member of Church of God of Prophecy. He was an auto mechanic. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Burns.
He leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memory, his "Angel Baby" Cecilia Deville Burns of Alexandria; his mother, Loraine White Dubois of Alexandria; two sons, Walter Littleton, wife Susan of Deville and David Littleton, fiancé Erin of Pineville; one sister, Ruby Bordelon of Montgomery; brother-in-law, Reverend Robert Barker of Dry Prong; five grandchildren, Karlee, LeeAnna, Mikaylah, Alyssa, and BryAnna; and a host of nieces, nephews, and lots of friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Walter Littleton, David Littleton, Mike Bryan, Chance Chellette, James Deville, Jason Ross, Jason Killingsworth, and Jason Olinde. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Rob Barker and Paul Deville.
Friends may call today from 10 am until time of service in the church.
