A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Sue Vanderlick will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at St. Rita Catholic Church, with Rev. Craig Scott, Rev. John Cunningham and Brian Seiler, Acolyte officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Memorial Park under direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013 and again from 8 until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home.
Sue Vanderlick, 79, of Boyce passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.
Sue was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church. She was owner of Cenla Cotton Company as a cotton broker for 35 years. She is past president of the Belgian-American Club; board member of the Louisiana Soil and Water Conservation; a board member of the Rapides Parish Library; a member of the St. Rita Rosary and Altar Society; a volunteer member of American Red Cross and CASA.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Strut Vanderlick; her parents John and Maggie Verzwyvelt; her brothers: John Douglas Verzwyvelt Sr., and Daniel A.Verzwyvelt.
Those left to cherish her memories include her children: Dr. Brenda Seiler (Jeffrey), Sue Anne Foltz(Jeff),Carmen Williamson(Richard), Jess Vanderlick(Dianne) and Clay Vanderlick; her sister Terrie V. Coombs(Danny); her grandchildren: Brian Seiler, Dr. Kim Seiler Dukes, Marcy Couvillion Fluitt, David Couvillion, Jeffrey Foltz Jr., Casey Foltz, Jodie James, Preston Nunnally, Maria Williamson, Lee Vanderlick, Cole Vanderlick, Carolina McRae, Cody Vanderlick, and Cassidy Vanderlick; her great grandchildren: Sydney Gibson, Drake Gibson and Miles Fluitt, and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be David Couvillion, Preston Nunnally, Lee Vanderlick, Cole Vanderlick, Cody Vanderlick, Jeffrey Foltz Jr., Dan Coombs, Drew Coombs and Doug Verzwyvelt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Coombs, Richard Vanderlick and Donald Wilmore.
