Elaine Inman Blackmar, 52, of Crawfordville died Wednesday, March 13 after a three year battle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 6 at 1 p.m. at the Wakulla County Senior Citizens Center, 33 Michael Drive in Crawfordville.
A native of Urbana, IL, she had lived in Greenwich, Conn., Ithaca, N.Y. and Crawfordville for the last 13 years. She was employed by a fragrance manufacturer, wholesale bookseller and a business production company. She was an accomplished cook, gardener and a giving friend to everyone. Despite being ravaged by cancer in three locations she never lost her zest for life or her sense of humor. She always thought about others first and had an impact on everyone she met.
Survivors include her husband of 13 years, Keith Blackmar of Crawfordville; her mother, Titika Inman of Dunwoody, Ga., two brothers, Crist Inman of Kerela, India and Paul Inman of San Francisco; a sister, Beth Valentine of East Point, Ga.; three nephews, Seth Inman and Milo Inman, both of Ithaca, N.Y. and Parker Valentine of Chicago, Ill., A sister-in-law, Amie Inman of Kerela and extended family in Chattanooga, Tenn., Evanston, Ill. and other locations.
