James William Gregory, 76, of Crawfordville, died October 7, 2017 with his loving family.
He was born June 12, 1941 in Apalachicola, Florida to parents Donald & Mary Gregory. He was a United States Army Veteran Paratrooper and received medals for 1st Class Gunner, Sharpshooter, Expert Rifle and Marksman. After discharge he worked many years as a Diesel Mechanic with Ring Power and worked with Vinyl Siding Installation. Jimmy enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and loved his family.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Glenda Gregory; his children, Wanda Denise Windman, Gregory Wayne Aiken (Cynthia), Warren Lee Aiken (Lisa), Tracy Aiken (Ray), James Randolph Gregory (Linda), Ralph Anthony Gregory (Shannon), and Candese Louise Gregory; brothers, Donnie Gregory (Margie), and Jack Gregory (Annie); sisters, Frankie Hill, Linda Clark, Paula Hyde (JW), Dorothy Hammock, Marsha Stevens (Ronnie), Patricia Free (Gene), and Sandra Barfield (Randy); 12 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, October 10, 2017, 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Lake Ellen Baptist Church with a Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. Interment at Arran Cemetery in Crawfordville.
