Lottie Mae (Vause Garner) Mann

Lottie Mae Vause Garner Mann passed away peacefully at her home in Wakulla County near Woodville at the age of 103.

She was the daughter of Thomas Jackson Vause and Annie Colvin Vause. She and her siblings grew up on Highway 20 near Lake Talquin where her family farmed and had a boat landing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Samuel Lamar Garner Sr. and Reuben Frank Mann; two sisters, Lucille Scruggs Rakestraw Mann, and Louise Colson Raker; two brothers, Maxie E. Vause and Willie F. Vause; several nieces and nephews.

She is survived by sons, Samuel Lamar Garner Jr. (Dot), James L. Garner all of Tallahassee; Thomas Richard Garner (Retha) of Covington, GA. and John N. Garner Sr (Debi) of Jacksonville; and a daughter, Barbara L. Walden (Ed) of Tallahassee; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.

After marriage to Lamar Garner she became a mother, shopkeeper, and after school nursery school owner. She later went to work with the State of Florida where she retired from the Driver's License Bureau. When she married Frank Mann after the death of Lamar she enjoyed gardening, travel, fishing and going to church. She will be truly missed by her loved ones who appreciated her long life, love of family, her generosity and her Christian beliefs. May she ever rest in peace with the Lord.

Visitation was held Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Bevis Funeral Home, Harvey Young Chapel in Crawfordville. Funeral Services were held Monday, July 15, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Bevis Funeral Home, Harvey Young Chapel. Burial followed at Oaklawn Cemetery in Tallahassee.
