Michael Dennis Kinsey, 65, of Crawfordville, died unexpectedly on April 25, 2018.

He was born Feb. 6, 1953 in Gainesville and grew up in Trenton. He moved to Crawfordville in the 1970s. He was a craftsman, artist, and Jack of all Trades, working different jobs through the years: Tallahassee Democrat, Bay Leaf Market, construction, Wakulla Springs and River Plantation. A lover of nature and local history – he enjoyed everything from exploring archeological sites and scuba diving to simply sitting and watching birds feed. He was committed to the residents of Eden Springs Nursing Facility, where he played music every Wednesday night for the past 8 years. His sense of humor was unmistakable and contagious.

Survivors include his life partner, Marjorie Joyce Hansen; daughter, Ashley Danielle Kinsey and her fiancé Jay Blanco; brothers, Leon Kinsey (Nancy) and Gary Kinsey (Dottie).

He was predeceased by his son, Larry Michael Kinsey; parents, Leon and Louise Kinsey; and brother, Tim Kinsey.
